Hi, my name is Elise! I’m someone who’s enthusiastic, curious and always up for a bit of adventure. I love being active, whether that’s skiing down a mountain or hiking up one. I’ve always had a soft spot for languages, so I recently started learning Spanish. And if there’s music playing, there’s a good chance you’ll find me somewhere on the dance floor dancing salsa.
I graduated in 2019 as a Speech and Language Therapist from Hogeschool Utrecht. From the start, I wanted to work with both children and adults, so I gained experience across different settings. I worked in speech therapy practices with children, nursing homes, and rehabilitation clinics, and also supported children with special needs. Over the years, I’ve helped kids with speech and articulation, language development, voice, and oromyofunctional therapy.
Today, I specialize in working with children who have speech and articulation difficulties. I support children from the age of four who struggle with producing sounds correctly, have unclear speech, substitute sounds, or experience lisping. My focus is on helping them build clear, confident communication.
In the Netherlands, waiting lists for speech and language therapy are increasing, and access to care can depend heavily on where a child lives. Unfortunately, long waiting times often make speech difficulties more ingrown, as incorrect speech patterns become more automatic over time. This can make therapy more complex and take longer than necessary.
That’s why I decided to start my own online speech therapy practice. I want every child, no matter where they live, to have access to the help they need, when they need it. No waiting lists, just timely support.
Parents often describe me as a playful and engaging therapist who makes speech therapy enjoyable for their child. For me, the most important thing is that children feel confident and believe in themselves. I want them to experience speech therapy as something positive and fun, a place where they can grow and discover what they’re capable of.
